Shabbat and holiday meals are a chance for students to step off the rushing freight train of the week into a little bit of calm and peace. We welcome everyone to join us as we sing, eat, and connect to traditions that remind us of family and home communities.
Shabbat dinner is served every Friday evening at Hillel. A strict vegetarian meal option is always available to students who do not eat meat or poultry. Students on meal plans may use one meal as payment for dinner at Hillel. Otherwise, Hillel is happy to cover the cost of your meal. A free kiddush lunch is served after Saturday morning services.
Kosher meals are served on Rosh Hashanah as well as the Yom Kippur pre-fast and break-the-fast meals. Tickets are required.
Passover may be observed at Tufts in a number of ways. Tufts Hillel sponsors Seders for both the first and second nights of Passover. Students must purchase tickets in advance. We provide several additional free kosher for Passover meals during the week. Students observing the holiday will also find a variety of kosher for Passover foods in the dining halls.
