Lunch & Learn with Titi Aynaw, Miss Israel
JNF at Tufts is excited to bring Yityish Titi Aynaw for a lunch and learn & meet and greet on Monday, March 27th. Titi was crowned Miss Israel in 2013, making her the first Black Miss Israel, and the first Ethiopian-born Jew to earn the title. Soon after being orphaned at the age of ten, Titi moved to Israel with her grandparents, learned Hebrew, and ultimately served as a Lieutenant in the Military Police Corps of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). After winning her title in 2013, she was named by the Jerusalem Post as the world's 39th most influential Jew for that year. Titi aspires to work in the fashion industry, and she is currently working on establishing a community arts education center in Netanya which would serve at-risk youth. All are welcome to meet and hear from Titi at Hillel's downstairs chapel!
