Yom Kippur Services 2022

Traditional/Egalitarian and Reform Yom Kippur Services hosted by Tufts Hillel

Please note Sign-ups and sales are closed for Yom Kippur services and meals. If you would like to join us please come early and we will do our best to accommodate you depending on availability.

Current students:

  • Please register for all services you would like to attend.
  • Bring your Tufts ID for sign-in.

We are happy to welcome you,

As per Tufts University guidelines (link below) to attend any High Holiday events you must be vaccinated and fully boosted against COVID.

Additionally, we ask that you take a covid test at home 24 hours prior to joining us.

If you test positive we respectfully request that you do not attend.

Service options are:

1. Traditional/Egalitarian services.

This service will use the machzor (prayer book) “Lev Shalem” and will include:

  • Traditional Hebrew liturgy combined with English readings and explanations
  • Guided meditations
  • Kabbalah-inspired themes
  • Integrated art, poetry and literature
  • Prayer as a personal journey
  • Communal singing

2. Reform services will include:

  • Familiar Reform Liturgy with Kavanah
  • Integrated Poetry/Creative Readings
  • Alternate Prayer Modalities
  • Space for Personal Reflection
  • Communal Singing
  • Musical instrumentation
