He served as advisor to the Palestinian negotiating team during the 1999–2001 permanent-status talks and has held various other positions within the Palestinian Authority.  \n\n\n\nAmbassador Dennis Ross has served in a multitude of positions in the White House\, including as special assistant to President Obama and the point person on the Middle East peace process for the George H.W.
