Traditional/Egalitarian services. \n\n\n\nThis service will use the machzor (prayer book) “Lev Shalem” and will include: \n\n\n\n\nTraditional Hebrew liturgy combined with English readings and explanations\n\n\n\nGuided meditations\n\n\n\nKabbalah-inspired themes\n\n\n\nIntegrated art\, poetry and literature\n\n\n\nPrayer as a personal journey\n\n\n\nCommunal singing\n\n\n\n\n2. Reform services will include: \n\n\n\n\nFamiliar Reform Liturgy with Kavanah\n\n\n\nIntegrated Poetry/Creative Readings\n\n\n\nAlternate Prayer Modalities\n\n\n\nSpace for Personal Reflection\n\n\n\nCommunal Singing\n\n\n\nMusical instrumentation\n\n\n\n\nHigh Holiday Meals\n\n\n\nYes\, it’s true you can eat kosher food throughout the High Holidays. \n\n\n\nYou are invited to Tufts Hillel’s High Holidays Meals. You can expect great food\, connection with your community\, and spiritual renewal! \n\n\n\nTransparent Meal Pricing: \n\n\n\nIn order for us to finance the delicious\, Kosher food that we offer\, The charge for meals are below. \n\n\n\nThe real cost of a meal to Tufts Hillel per person is over $40.00. Hillel subsidizes a portion of every meal. In order to make meals accessible to all students we ask you to cover the costs listed below.  \n\n\n\nIf this price is prohibitive for you or you have questions please contact any member of the Hillel staff and we will ensure complete confidentiality. Over dinner in the sukkah (an outdoor hut constructed for the Jewish holiday of Sukkot)\, hear from Sophie Dorf-Kamienny A25 about her family’s story of surviving the Holocaust and discuss the importance of intergenerational storytelling.
