About Liliane Pari Umuhoza:
Liliane is a human rights advocate. She was born and raised in Rwanda and graduated from Juniata College, in Pennsylvania with a B.A in Peace and Conflict studies. Liliane uses her life experience of surviving the Genocide against the Tutsi and her work with non-profits to promote peace and summon global dialogue and actions against human right abuses. She is the founder of ” Women Genocide Survivors Retreat ” a program supporting women survivors of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda and works as a project officer for Foundation Rwanda in Kigali. Liliane has spoken at events related to peace-building, human rights, and women empowerment at universities, the UN, the Embassy of Rwanda in Washington DC, the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City, and many others.
