Orientation Week Wrap-up with
|
| "2022 Orientation Week was the first orientation without COVID restrictions since 2019 which led to immense creativity from our student leaders and an amazing turnout from the Class of 2026!
Our week started off with an open house on Matriculation Day during which we welcomed new students and their families to the Tufts Hillel community. Following the University’s O-Show on Thursday, over 100 students showed up for Late Night Chill, where they came to hang out with their fellow classmates and pick up a Hillel tote bag.
On Friday, we welcomed 200 students to a pre-neg and services on the Tisch roof, followed by dinner at Hillel-we needed to set up extra tables to accommodate everyone!
Saturday night, student leaders led our annual Havdalah and JP Licks event and treated students to post-Shabbat ice cream. Lastly, on Sunday we welcomed over 450 students to our famous Bagel Brunch and a cappella show. It was an amazing start and we’ve been carrying this exciting momentum into the academic year!"

| "High Holidays at Tufts were extremely special. Having the opportunity to lead Reform services was fantastic, but perhaps, more meaningful was the opportunity to see the vibrant Reform community all together on some of our most important holidays. This was especially clear in the personal reflections during services, where students—including myself—were offered the opportunity to speak on a theme of the High Holidays. This brought unique perspectives to our service and further fostered an environment where the community felt safe to be vulnerable and emotional."

| "Sukkot at Hillel this year has been packed with amazing programing, food, and fun! There has been something great every day, from the students who joined me to build and decorate the, to our community dinner, JQUEST Lunch and Learn, pickling cucumbers, a Sukkah hop and more!
We are all looking forward to closing out the holiday with the joy of Pride Shabbat and amazing Simchat Torah celebrations!"
